Lymphedema Pumps
Pneumatic compression devices (PCD) treat a variety of conditions and mimic the bodies’ own lymphatic system to help fluid get circulated back into the body, resulting in a reduction of edema. Using a non-peristaltic action, pumps move fluid from distal (furthest from your body) to proximal (closest to your body), which improves both lymph flow and blood flow.
Ready-to-Wear Compression
Comes in a variety of lengths, fabrics, and compression levels. They are made with thinner fabric than custom-made garments and are seen as more “ cosmetically appealing” to the eye. They are well-suited to patients with venous disorders, blood clots, and people dealing with Lymphedema/Edema where there is little to no shape distortion.
Custom Compression
These garments are made with thicker, but breathable materials and can be produced in unlimited shapes, sizes, and in all four compression classes. This makes them a better fit for Lymphedema/Edema patients, who often have some degree of shape distortion in their limbs. The thicker material provides stiffness and a higher containment of Lymphedema/Edema, which also makes them less prone to rolling or cutting into skin folds that are present.
Nighttime Compression
Night garments are a fundamental part of a successful Lymphedema/Edema self-management program. These garments help move fluid where it needs to go, preventing swelling throughout the night and maintaining gains made in your therapy sessions. It can decrease treatment time, increase compliance, stimulate initial lymphatics, protect limbs, support lax tissue, and more.

Over time, your size and required compression level may change, so it’s important to be re-measured and consult with your provider, certified fitter, or lymphedema therapist at least every six months.
Many patients find that swelling can return overnight without proper nighttime compression. When used consistently, nighttime compression garments help maintain reduced limb volume, support skin health, and prevent complications such as fibrosis, while also enhancing the results of complete decongestive therapy (CDT) and reducing the need for more aggressive interventions. Patients should always consult their physician to ensure nighttime compression is appropriate for their individual treatment plan.
